Day 1: Meditate on the Power of God

Meditate on the Power of God

I’m beyond excited to begin our 21 days of fasting and prayer with you. On this day, we set our sights on seeing God’s supernatural power invade the natural world as the Lord responds to our prayers! Today we begin believing for mountains to move! Today we believe to see the power of God realized with unshakeable faith! The foundation for this kind of anticipation and expectation comes from God’s word straight out of the mouth of our Lord when he said in Matthew 21:21-22, “Even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea, it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

What an extraordinary promise! Yet too often, we can find ourselves meditating on the size of our mountain instead of reflecting on the magnitude of God and his power! The author Max Lucado gives us insight by writing, “Don’t measure the size of the mountain; talk to the One who can move it.”

Our prayer target today is to take God at His Word and ask Him to supernaturally show up and show off in our situations. This is a great antithesis to obsessing over the mountains in our lives. So, for whatever you need God to do, start this time of fasting and prayer by focusing on God’s power. Nothing is too hard for Him! Write down your mountains and declare God’s power over them today!

Jeremiah 32:17 (ESV)- Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you!
