Pastor Gavin Brown


Pastor Gavin is the lead pastor of Lifehouse Church. Born in Baltimore and raised in Laurel, Pastor Gavin credits his godly grandmother and many godly mothers and fathers in his life for guiding him in the path of Christian service.  He graduated from the University of Valley Forge with a B.A. and is currently pursuing his MDiv degree. An ordained minster for ten years, Gavin has served at three dynamic and diverse churches over the last thirteen years in full-time ministry as a youth & young adults pastor. He has traveled extensively throughout the east coast, nation, and world ministering and preaching the word of God. He enjoys communicating the gospel with passion and inspiration. Gavin loves hanging with his family and friends, making new friends, the Redskins, reading, hitting the gym, and has a special fondness for Gummi Bears. Pastor Gavin was voted in as the new lead pastor of Lifehouse Church in June of 2017. Formally First Assembly of God, this was the church that Pastor Gavin grew up in as a child. He and his wife Shekinah have been married for seven years and they make their home in Laurel, Maryland with their three children: Selah Joy, Myla Rae, and Emerson.

The board team is five members of the congregation who oversee the finances and direct the provision of the facilities needed by the church. They provide counsel to the Lead Pastor regarding major financial commitments of the church. The board serves as protectors of the vision, congregation and pastor with Godly wisdom. The board members of Lifehouse Church are:

Lifehouse Church is also part of the Assemblies of God denomination. We are a part of the Capital section of the Potomac District under the leadership of Frank Potter, our District Superintendent.
