LEADERSHIP

Pastor Gavin Brown serves as the Senior Pastor at Lifehouse Church. Born in Baltimore and raised in Laurel, Pastor Gavin credits his godly grandmother and many godly mothers and fathers in his life for guiding him in the path of ministry. He graduated from the University of Valley Forge with a B.A. and is currently pursuing his MDiv degree. An ordained minister for more than ten years, Pastor Gavin has served at three dynamic and diverse churches in full-time ministry as a youth & young adults pastor. He has traveled extensively throughout the east coast, nation, and world ministering and preaching the word of God. He enjoys communicating the gospel with passion and inspiration. Gavin loves spending time with his family and friends, He is an avid fan of the Washington Commanders, reading, and his favorite snack is  Gummy Bears. Pastor Gavin was voted in as the new lead pastor of Lifehouse Church in June 2017. Formally First Assembly of God, was the church that Pastor Gavin grew up in as a child. He and his wife Shekinah have been married since August 2010 and they make their home in Laurel, Maryland with their three children: Selah Joy, Myla Rae, and Emerson.

Pastor Nehemias Mazariegos is the Children's Pastor at Lifehouse Church. He oversees our children (Lifehouse Kids) from ages 3 months - 5th grade. Pastor Nehemias was brought in as the new Children’s pastor of Lifehouse Church in January of 2023. He enjoys photography, videos games, and time with his with his wife Hannah and family. His favorite snacks are Gummy Frogs, and Gummy Worms. He and his wife Hannah have been married since 2020 and they currently make their home in Rockville, Maryland with their loving dog Pamela.

LEAD ADMINISTRATOR

As the Lead Admin at Lifehouse Church, Taylor supports the staff and church office operations. Taylor also assists the church in meeting its short and long-term goals. Taylor also enjoys the outdoors and playing various sports and loves Nerd Clusters and Gummy Peach rings.

The board team is five members of the congregation who oversee the finances and direct the provision of the facilities needed by the church. They provide counsel to the Senior Pastor regarding major financial commitments of the church. The board serves as protectors of the vision, congregation and pastor with Godly wisdom.
